Sit Still - A Salon Shoppe For Kids

By Charlana Albios

Logo © Sit StillIt’s sleek, it’s modern, and it’s so cool. Sit Still is not just another place to take your preschooler for a haircut, it is an experience. From basic cuts to rock star packages and birthday parties, this salon does it all. They have adorable hair accessories, toys and books for sale too.

What Preschoolers Will Love About Sit Still

Sometimes the most difficult part of going to a salon or barber shop is the wait beforehand. At Sit Still, they make waiting your preschooler’s favorite part of the experience. With new, age-appropriate toys, games and books, your preschooler gets to enjoy some playtime in a clean and inviting space. And, since all of the toys are new, you won't cringe at the sight of them playing with old, dirty, baby toys like those found at many other businesses. There is a television in the waiting area, as well as at the cutting stations, so preschoolers are entertained during their haircut.

What Parents Will Love About Sit Still

This salon isn’t just for kids. Adults can get their haircut and they won’t even have to sit in the airplane to do so. In addition to an airplane, taxi cab and pink car, Sit Still also has regular salon chairs.

Parents no longer have to worry about finding a babysitter just so they can get their haircut. While you’re taking some time for yourself, there is enough for your preschooler to do in the waiting area to stay occupied and still be within sight.

Other Things You Should Know

Children can get a piece of candy or small toy before they leave, but if you don’t want them to have it don’t worry because they ask you before they offer it to your child.

If you plan to get your haircut while your preschooler is there with you, make sure that he/she is one who is content to stay and play in the waiting area and will listen to you while you’re in the chair. The reception area has merchandise for sale that your child can get into and the front door is blocked by a wall so you might not be able to see if your preschooler is wandering around. If you're trying to get a haircut, but have to chase your preschooler around, it could make for a miserable experience for you, your child and your stylist.

Refer a friend and they receive $5 off. In addition, you receive $5 off your next visit.
