Rib City Grill is not only a family-friendly restaurant, but it is one of the most preschooler-friendly restaurants in Vancouver. Children under four years old eat for free and they have a play area with a train table, something that a preschooler just can’t turn down. The menu has something for everyone – barbecue favorites like chicken, ribs and brisket, as well as sandwiches, salads, lots of yummy sides and pie.

Anywhere there’s a train table, preschoolers are happy. They also have some blocks and a couple of other toys, so not a lot of selection, but enough to keep everyone content. Preschoolers can play before and after their meal while mom and dad enjoy a leisurely dining experience and some uninterrupted conversation. The chances are good that there will be other children for your preschooler to play with since this restaurant is becoming very popular with families.
What Parents Will Love About Rib City
If you like to eat barbecue, you have got to give Rib City Grill a try. The food is delicious and they promise that if you have to pick up a knife to eat their baby back ribs, they will pick up your meal. There is a separate dining section near the play area so you can sit nearby to keep a watchful eye on your preschooler. The atmosphere is casual and the wait staff is very accommodating. The service is speedy so you can get in and out quickly if necessary. But, if you want to hang out for a bit, you can do so and the staff won’t rush you.
Other Things You Should Know
The free meal for children under four years old consists of a piece of chicken and fries. Some days it might be enough to satisfy your preschooler, and other days it may not, but you can always order more food if you need to.
If your hungry preschooler would like to order from the kids' menu, they can choose from barbecue chicken or ribs, mini corn dogs, fried shrimp, dinosaur nuggets or a cheese sandwich. Meals include fries, applesauce and a drink.
