This is a preschooler-friendly restaurant where little ones can play before, during and after their meal. With a play area that includes toys and a train table situated in the middle of the restaurant and visible from just about every seat, your preschooler can play with fellow diners while waiting for their food to arrive. During your meal, the entire family can join in silly games listed in the drinks and dessert menu that spark conversation and giggles. Also available are a variety of board games, books and chalkboards that you are free to use at your table. Even the pickiest eaters will have a hard time passing up menu items like “Twigs in a Pond” (hummus with veggie sticks and crackers), “P.B. Frenchie” (peanut butter and jelly on French toast) or “Miss Mary Mack & Cheese" (macaroni and cheese using real Tillamook cheese).
What Parents Will Love About P.B. and Ellie’s Cafe
The menu offers many options for both you and your preschooler, with most items available in junior and full sizes. Rest assured that you won’t be left to choose between “Max’s PB & Banana” and “Toasty Cheese.” They offer a great selection of salads, wraps, burgers, sandwiches and pasta, in addition to evening selections of ribs and steak. With your preschooler busy playing and you and your significant other enjoying your leisurely meal and uninterrupted conversation, this might even feel like a much needed date night.
Other Things You Should Know
Preschooler-friendly events are held throughout the year, including Family Dinner Theater featuring a puppet show, P.B. and Jammies concert night, and Cook-a-Book story time with themed meals.
If anyone in your party has food allergies, be sure to ask about the ingredients that are used in preparing your meal. There are clearly foods such as peanut butter that may cause problems for some, but the almonds used in the Pesto Pasta might not be as obvious.
