Cafe Sip-n-Play

By Charlana Albios

Photo (c) Charlana AlbiosWhen it comes to preschooler-friendly restaurants, Cafe Sip-n-Play undoubtedly tops the list with a gated play area that encompasses half of the establishment and toys and books galore. The surroundings are inviting to both parents and preschoolers, the play area and toys are safe and clean, and the food and beverages are tasty. This preschooler-friendly restaurant is the first of its kind in Vancouver and parents and preschoolers alike are hoping to see more businesses following suit.

What Preschoolers Will Love About Cafe Sip-n-Play

Photo (c) Charlana AlbiosLoads of toys, books, a train table, and dress up clothes are among the many things to keep preschoolers busy at Cafe Sip-n-Play. Preschoolers enjoy the independence they have while they play and explore, but also have the peace of mind knowing that their parents are just a glance away.

When you can tear your preschooler away from the play area long enough for a bite to eat, the child’s menu includes preschooler favorites like chicken nuggets, grilled cheese and yogurt. For an extra treat, give the gelato and cupcakes a try.

What Parents Will Love About Cafe Sip-n-Play

Parents will love having a safe, indoor play area for their preschoolers to roam. Whenever you need a few minutes to yourself or want to meet a friend or playgroup, you can sit and enjoy a cup of coffee, a sandwich, and alone time or conversation, while still being able to keep an eye on your preschooler. The play area is gated and the toys are clean. If you need to get some work done or just want to catch up on your email, bring your laptop because they provide free Wi-Fi.

Other Things You Should Know

Cost of admission to the play area is $3.75 for ages 1-5. Cost is only $2.00 after 3:00pm. This may seem expensive if you go often, but is a great treat for parents if you need a break and an indoor place for your preschooler to burn off some energy.
